How Mark started making more money online then I do

A few days ago a friend of mine asked me how can he start making money online. When I started telling him about the large number of oportunities there are to gain cash online, I saw that he began dreaming about how his life will change in some weeks with after just 5 hours of work (designing a web site and starting promoting affiliate products). I realized then that he thought making money online is just one day of work and then you just have to wait for your clickbank account to be flooded by sales. Of course, I had to kill his dreams and start explaining that in a world where the Internet is spreading faster and faster it’s very hard to make your web site stand out of the crowd and gain traffic. His answer was pretty disapointing, because he told me that gaining traffic is very easy, you just have to post some blog comments, promote your page on some forums and you have massive traffic. WRONG! Promoting and selling an online product is not just a one-day work, it involves a lot of hard work and research.

After I was sure he understands what “a lot of work” means, I made him a little diagram to show him all the steps he has to follow in order to start making money online.

Step 1. Research the Market

Step 2. Create a Product

Step 3. Create a Website

Step 4. SEO Optimization for you website

Step 5. Find Affiliates

Step 6. Start Promoting your Product

After I described him each step details, he totally changed his opinion and saw what a “every day” job means. To help him, I recommended him some softwares for each step, that will help and will spare him a lot of time. I’ve recommended Market Samuray, Affiliates Elite , Sales Letters Creator 2009.

After 3 days he calls me to go out and celebrate his first sale, guess what… I was amazed a totally noob gained his first sale after just 3 days… Woow! He gained 5 on google page rank and 400+ visitators after just 2 weeks. Even if I “taught” him all he knows in just 2 weeks he had more visitators and sales then I have… so I had to ask him “Mark, what’s your secret?”. His answer was: “Hehehe my friend, the first STEP is to forget about all the samuray and elite crap. I found a tool that incorporates all the ’steps’ in just one software, making it easy and professional in the same time: Emarketing Helper. In just two hours I’ve created my product, researched the market, created my sales letter, created five articles for content and I found the best ClickBank affiliates. As you see, you don’t have to invest ‘a lot of work’ to start making money online.”

Guess what I did next…

I’ve opened Mozilla typed “emarketing helper” …

SEO strategy based on long tail keywords

The professionals in on-line marketing are focusing their strategy on “long tail keywords”. Probably the majority of you have heard about this term. For the ones who didn’t know, the business long tail strategy refers to finding well defined niche for your business and not offering everything to everyone. The long tail keywords are based on a similar concept.

These long tail keywords, are the phrases formed by 3-4 words and usually we are talking about something specific to the selling product or to the main topic of the site. Most of the times, a customer will seek for something more specific because they know exactly what they are searching for and what they want to buy. Almost always, a long tail keyword is turning much more into a sale comparing with a normal search. At the same time we are talking about a larger traffic towards a site.

Let’s speak in more specific terms and take an example. If you search for the word “beauty” you will find about 600 million sites. To get a high rank using this word, will be very difficult, because there are so many sites covering this subject. Meanwhile, let’s search for “beauty tips for women” and we will find 15 million sites. Still, there are only 5 site optimized on this keyword. If you make a good optimization on your site after this keyword, you have the guarantee of page 1 in Google.

While you make this optimization based on the long tail keywords, little by little an increasingly number of pages will be indexed by Google and will indirectly grow the rank of other key words you will anyhow use in your pages, even if the focus is on the long tail keywords. In our example we will include terms like “beautiful skin”, “beautiful hair”, “healthy diet” and so on.

Creating the ultimate Sales Letters Theory

Sales letters are playing a very important part in the sales process.
All winning sales letters succeeds by following “Attention, Interest, Desire and Action.” formula, I will try to explain you in the folowing lines what this forumla involves.

Content:

You should generally try to begin your sales letter with something that’s short, attention-grabbing (use a bigger font with color to be eye catching ). Here’s an example click

Ok ! Now we catched the readers attention so we should write the body of the letter. This part should include details, some images, some videos and a very important thing, testimonials. A very important aspect is to make a personal connection with your reader and make your offer in a very friendly way.
You should always tell a story to the reader for example “When I started my own business, I was very nervous ….”

If your letter is a very long one, you can draw out the story, keeping the outcome for the end
Another MOST aspect are the questions. The human psychology tells you that when you are asked a question you’ll auto-respond to it. Many sales letters are asking questions that are all answered with a ferm YES from the reader, for example: “Do you want to make 100.000$ per month?”

Another important aspect is how long should your SalesLetter be, most of the sales letter will end up running six to ten pages, I don’t recommend this! You should write about 3-5 pages so the reader can focus over the most important aspects of your sales letter, 90% of the readers won’t read all the letter so you have to compact all the things you think will make a reader buy your product.

Most readers tend to read the first page and after they start getting a sense of what the page is about they will just scan the page for chunks of information. So focus very much on impressive headlines, they are very important ! All the readers will stop to read them , so you make them love/hate your product depending on your headlines.

Ok another chapter closed… Now let me tell you some tips for closing your sales letter , you should end your SalesLetter with your offer and guarantee. You should always sign your letters on a friendly tone.

Ok ! Now that I’ve told you some writing tips …. I will give you another tip… don’t pay someone for a job you can do yourself…
Why should you pay a webmaster to create your sales letter when you can grab Sales Letters Creator and create the ultimate Sales Letter yourself….

Design:

-Use a dark color for your background, this will make the reader focus over the sales content

-Use a strident color and a different font for your headlines, I like to use hand writing fonts for the headlines

-always use an e-cover

- Your banner should match the e-cover style
